During my summer internship at Art. Lebedev Studio in Moscow back in 2006 I worked on an CD player / amplifier system for Singaporean Hi-Fi manufacturer Loit.
Loit company of Singapore aims to deliver extra-quality audio systems meeting the highest consumer expectations.
My involvement in the project took place during the early phases and mainly resulted in the idea behind the design of the product.
The 'Y' form of the product is inspired by the 'flux capacitor' that allows Professor Emmett Brown to travel through the time in the film 'Back to the Future'.
This metaphor materializes the sound flow by suggesting its travel through the system.
Initiating the machine from the front panel sends an instruction towards the centre of the device that activates the 'engine'.
The optical heads then generate the actual audio signal which divides in two data fluxes, each flowing through the right or left channel to feed the stereo speakers.

Comment
One of Fosters + Partners recent projects presents a very similar design to Loit Eagle audio system.
Faustino Winery trefoil architecture processes the production flow in the same way as Eagle Y factor materializes the audio stream.
