In 2002 I went on a trip to Lebanon and visited the antic rubbles in the city of Baalbek. One intriguing piece was the Stone of the Pregnant Woman, a +1000Tons carved stone lying in the middle of a carry. A myth surrounding the monolith tells that, because of it's weight, it is not possible to move it, even with modern technologies. This mystery and the way the stone sinks in the ground inspired me to create this piece of furniture.
