The brief was to value the steel as a material through its properties.
Together with Olivier and Jonas we decided to demonstrate that steel is a strong material that can also make light structures. The choice of a dining table would showcase these properties.
Two sheets of steel are cut and formed by a stamping process, then assembled in a sandwich-type construction envelelopping a steel honey comb core. Attached to the ceiling by four wires, the suspension of the table above the floor emphasizes the lightness of the structure.
